The new Cosmograph Daytona comes with an Oysterflex bracelet, developed and patented by Rolex. Its interior is composed of a superelastic metal blade overmolded with high-performance black elastomer. This material is exceptionally durable and particularly resistant to environmental aggressions.
In its Oysterflex version, the bracelet is also equipped with an Oysterlock safety clasp and features the Easylink rapid extension system, patented by Rolex, which allows the length to be easily adjusted by approximately 5 mm to provide optimal comfort in all situations.
High-performance chronograph
A key element of the model’s identity, its bezel with a molded tachymetric scale allows the measurement of an average speed of up to 400 miles or kilometers per hour. Combining high technology with a refined aesthetic, the black bezel recalls the 1965 model, which also featured a black bezel but with a Plexiglas insert.
The monobloc Cerachrom bezel, crafted from high-tech ceramic, offers numerous advantages: its hardness makes it virtually impossible to scratch, it retains its color despite exposure to UV rays, and it remains immune to corrosion. This extreme durability is complemented by the exceptional legibility of the tachymetric scale, whose graduations are achieved by depositing a thin layer of platinum into the engraved markings using the PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) technique. The monobloc Cerachrom bezel is made from a single piece and ensures the waterproofness of the crystal to the middle case.
